Rolanette and Berdon Lawrence Bone Disease Program of Texas

Dr. Hunt is a participant and member of the Program Advisory Committee. The Rolanette and Berdon Lawrence Bone Disease Program of Texas, a collaborative research, clinical and educational program of Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks to improve basic and translational research of bone diseases and to convert basic science findings to more effective treatment and prevention options.


Center for Skeletal Medicine and Biology

The Center for Skeletal Medicine and Biology brings together diverse researchers at Baylor College of Medicine to develop coordinated clinical and basic science research and provide training opportunities more broadly focused on musculoskeletal health. The center is part of the Rolanette and Berdon Lawrence Bone Disease Program of Texas, a collaborative research, clinical and education program of Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Texas Health Sciences Center.


National Football League Musculoskeletal Committee

The NFL Musculoskeletal Committee is composed of independent and NFL-affiliated medical professionals and focuses on musculoskeletal issues relevant to the health and safety of active NFL players. Its goals are as follows:

– Advise the NFL on medical policies, procedures and protocols
– Determine and advise the NFL on best practices
– Identify and recommend medical research that impacts the health and safety of active NFL players
– Oversee research when requested by the NFL
– Create and supervise focused research groups with specific goals and assignments

TMCx

Located in the TMC Innovation Institute provides startup companies with shared workspace, a curriculum tailored to the needs of health care entrepreneurs and the guidance of over 120 advisors from the front lines of the industry. Companies have access to the world’s largest medical center, all without membership fees or equity sharing. Dr. Hunt serves an advisory role in the institute.


Center for Space Medicine

The Center for Space Medicine provides an academic home to advance science, technology, medicine and education to benefit human health in space and on Earth. Through interdisciplinary programs and collaborations, CSM is charting new research frontiers at the interface of medicine and engineering. It is also inspiring and training the next generation of physicians, scientists and leaders. Dr. Hunt serves as Professor of Space Medicine and collaborates on multiple research studies.

Titleist Performance Institute

The Titleist Performance Institute is the world’s leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.
