This patient had a longstanding scaphoid nonunion and resulting degeneration between the radial styloid (green arrow) and the distal scaphoid fragment (blue dot) which became increasingly painful.
Utilizing very small arthroscopic incisions on the back of the wrist, the arthroscope isolated the area of wear and cartilage degeneration (blue dot) and the burr was used to remove that portion of the bone to relieve the irritation.
