Scaphoid Excision and Four Corner Fusion

This patient is a 42 yo female with long-standing wrist pain related to an ill-defined autoimmune condition.  The PA and Lateral X-rays reveal degenerative changes resulting from significant carpal instability.

In order to treat her wrist pain and dysfunction, and yet maintain some motion, a scaphoid excision and four corner fusion was performed using two headless compression screws buried in the bone and one nitinol compression stable.
